 Arnav Singh Raizada:  

 Arnav is a 26 year old self made, shrewd business tycoon and  devastatingly handsome angry young man from Delhi. His aura leaves men jealous and women drooling over him. He does not pay two hoots about what others think about him as long as he gets things done his way. His necessity of winning every bet and challenge, cracking a deal, getting a contract by hook or crook comes from his Insecurities which are deep-rooted. He  believes everything can be bought in the world, including love until meeting his soulmate, Khushi Kumari Gupta.

          

  It is his horrendous  past which has transformed a loving, caring teenager into an arrogant, ruthless and atheist grown up. At the age of 15, he witnessed his parents’ fatal suicide which further caused adjourning  his beloved elder sister’s marriage on the day of her wedding. He and his sister were thrown out on the roads expelling from his uncountable inherited property. It was then he ostracized his paternal surname ‘Malik’ and accepted maternal  ‘Singh Raizada’ when no one else but his poor maternal uncle came forward to support him. In the rage of avenging for his  injustice, he worked days and night and built an empire within few years which made him an unannounced king of  Garment and Fashion Industry.

           
            Even after many years, memories of his past are etched fresh in his mind and it led  him to become devoid of emotions and love, and he only understands  language of money, fame and success. He does not believe in lifelong relationships like marriage. His bitterness towards life mirrored him as a disease of higher diabetes. But he is neither a heartless monster or a devil in disguise. He is  a man living with a veneer, inside of whom there is a reserved  boy who is afraid of losing his dear ones.His façade of ruthlessness proves futile when it comes to his family,particularly in front of his Di(elder sister), his motherly image. She is the sole reason of his survival through every hurdle in life. It is another wonder that how ASR as he is known to business world for his  fiery,impatient and dictating demeanor has a serene hobby of gardening. But that is again a bequest from his deceased mother.

           

Khushi Kumari Gupta :  

Khushi, a  20 year old from Lukhnow ,lives up to her name. She  is very simple, bubbly, fun loving girl who creates a chirpy atmosphere around her always . She is rooted in family and driven by a clear moral compass. She stands for what she believes in, and never lets  go of her inculcated values.She will not change herself to conform to people’s shallow expectations. 

      The beastly blow of dreadful fate doesn’t leave her either. A disastrous accident made an 8 years old Khushi  orphan in which she lost her parents. After passing two awful years in an orphanage , she was adopted by a poor halwai Shashi Gupta and his wife Garima from Lukhnow. She believes that her deceased parents  have become brightest stars in the sky.

             
   This hard stroke of her past transpired her to be suave , softhearted  and lively unlike Arnav. She believes in relations, love and virtue of good deeds. Unconditional love from her adopted family turned her into an unselfish  soul which would go out of its way when it comes to help others. And in hustle of solving all the problems by herself she always ends up  performing unique antics. This quality of her forced her aunt  Madhumati  to call her crazy niece  by different names..like ‘titaliya’, 'sanaka devi’, ‘parmeshwari’…and many more…She has only  two passions in life.. Her Devi Maiyya .. being a true devotee of her and  Eating and making Jalebi as a daughter of halwai.

 

Raizada Family

Anjali  Singh Raizada Jha:  Elder sister of Arnav Singh Raizada. In spite of the same terrible past, Anjali  showed fortitude to overcome her own sorrows and retained her originality through hindrance of life. She is beautiful, adorable, perky and a lovely  woman in her mid 30 who is happily married to Shyam Jha.

                        She has always been support system of her younger brother through thick and thin.  She shares a very special, strong and heartwarming sibling bond with her ‘Chote’ , as she calls Arnav. The only goal of her life is to see her cherished brother getting  settled as she is not in favor of his ‘no- strings- attached’ way of living life.

Shyam  Jha:  A famous and successful lawyer from Lukhnow.  A dashing and entertaining man. Married to Anjali Singh Raizada.               

                                          

Akash Singh Raizada:  Younger cousin of Arnav.  His bespectacled and calm look manifests his mature and understanding nature. He truly admires his older brother and reposes blind trust in him.

NK:   Nephew of Manorama . A cool, fun loving happy go lucky guy who was settled  in Austrelia for many years and has returned to India recently. His real name is NandKishor but he prefers to be called as NK.. He is a charming and  truly entertaining  with his uncanny brand of Hinglish….

Manohar Singh Raizada: A calm , understanding man who is  performing his duty as supporting  pillar of the family.

Manorama Singh Raizada : She was once  winner of ‘Ms. Chandani  Chouk’  pageant..which left her considering herself as the most beautiful woman in India. She is originally from middle class family and trying to acclimatizing  recently acquired high status in social circle. Her attempts of speaking fluent English leaves  people  split their sides with laughter.

Devyani Raizada : Evergreen Matriarch of Raizada family.  She is strict ,disciplined but  loving and caring at the same time.

Prakash  Clad and Laxmiji : Hari Prakash, Om Prakash, Jay Prakash are loyal menials of Raizada family from few years.

Laxmiji is the most respected and beloved pet of Raizada family.

Gupta Family

Payal : Payal is Khushi’s elder sister. She is thoughtful and mature, as opposed to the impulsive Khushi. Payal understands and supports Khushi in all matters. Even though her first marriage breaks when Khushi takes a stand against the dowry demand, she rationalizes the whole situation and stands by her younger sister when the entire family denounces her.

Buaji :   Though everyone calls her Buaji, her real name is Madhumati .She is Shashi Gupta’s elder sister and a widow. Bua is very conservative and traditional in her approach. She is strict and could appear rude, though somewhere deep down, she means well. She had migrated to Delhi from Lucknow with her husband. She runs a small business from her house.

Garima : Garima is Khushi and Payal’s mother. She is somebody who considers self respect and famihonor topmost.

Shashi : Shashi used to run a sweet shop, Saatvik Mishtaan Bhandaar, in an interior lower middle class area of Lucknow but now has shifted to Delhi. A man of modest and honest means. He is married to Garima. Payal is his real daughter and Khushi was brought in as an orphan by Garima. Nevertheless, he has never treated Khushi any different from Payal. Both his daughters are the apples of his eye.
